Building for the Future
Climate change, digitalisation and urbanisation are reshaping the way we build. And as a company, we have to respond. For RECKLI, sustainability is therefore not a side topic, but a responsibility. As part of a resource-intensive industry, we are committed to reducing our impact – for the environment and for the people who work with and for us.
We are driven by a passion for individual architecture, distinctive structures and expressive façades. To keep this possible in the future, we optimise raw materials, reduce CO₂ emissions and explore recycling and substitution options for plastics and packaging. Durability is key: our formliners can be reused up to 100 times, helping to conserve resources over their lifecycle. And with the world’s only ISCC PLUS-certified formliner, we actively contribute to more sustainable construction.

The Most Sustainable Formliner in the World
We are constantly working on making our structural formliners more sustainable. One important step on this path: our RECKLI FormlinerECO, certified by ISCC PLUS. This makes us the only manufacturer to date to offer formliners that meet the sustainability requirements of the ISCC throughout the entire supply chain: from the first raw material to the finished product.
In concrete terms, this means that our certified formliners consist of up to 90% sustainable raw materials. The ISCC is a global sustainability certification system that covers all raw materials and markets.
As part of the resource-intensive construction industry, we take responsibility by optimising our raw materials and reducing COâ‚‚ emissions. Thanks to these efforts, our ISCC PLUS certification has been extended for another year, underlining our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Production
Our RECKLI FormlinerECO is available for all moulds: whether you select a design from our formliner collection, develop a bespoke custom formliner, or realise detailed imagery with photo engraving.
Establishment in our existing processes guarantees the familiar high quality. Reusability, resilience and attention to detail remain excellent.
Advantages
- use of up to 90% renewable resources instead of fossil-based materials
- procurement of raw materials from certified, sustainable partners
- our moulds can be reused up to 100 times
- adaptability to different structures and series
- polyurethane quality "Made in Germany"
As part of a resource-intensive construction industry, we take responsibility, optimize our raw materials, reduce CO2 emissions, and continue to research recycling possibilities for plastics and packaging.
With the implementation of the world’s first sustainable formliner, we are setting a new standard for elastic formwork. In a comprehensive audit, our processes and correct mass balancing were analyzed, ensuring that we can continue to be part of the certified supply chain. This certification underscores our commitment to environmental protection and social responsibility.

Formulations Matter
By refining our formulations, assessing alternative raw materials and validating performance in practice, we make our chemical solutions more sustainable – without compromising reliability, application safety or surface quality.
In our in-house technical center, we systematically test formulation variants under practical conditions, replace raw materials where it makes technical sense, and continuously refine existing products. Real-world testing in production and on-site scenarios ensures consistent results you can rely on.
Sustainable Release Agents in Use
Release
Water-based, release agent based on non-labeled vegetable oil, designed for residue-free separation when using RECKLI formliners.
Release Allround
Water-based, release agent made from renewable and biodegradable raw materials, designed for residue-free separation.
Release On Site
Water-based, concrete release agent made from renewable and biodegradable raw materials, for use on construction sites.
Stripping Wax TL-ECO
High-quality, dilute and solvent-free demoulding agent from renewable material, specially developed for RECKLI formliners.

Smarter Packaging
We consider reusability not only in our formliners, but also in the packaging of our liquid plastics. That’s why we rely on recycled cardboard inlays and paper-based filling material instead of expanding PU foam. This makes disposal easier for customers and reduces the overall volume of packaging waste.
Our custom-cut cardboard inlays are made from 100% recycled waste paper and ensure secure transport. All 5 kg buckets and containers are shipped with cardboard inlays; other products are protected with paper filling material — for reliable shipping with a reduced packaging footprint.
Responsibility in Our Daily Work
Our commitment doesn’t end when a product leaves our facility. It continues in the way we operate day to day: with smarter energy use, responsible mobility, meaningful social engagement, and a workplace that puts people first.

Solar Power
Our on-site solar system supplies clean electricity for everyday operations at our Herne facility: reducing emissions and making our energy supply more resilient. EV charging stations support employees, making more sustainable mobility part of the experience from the moment you arrive.

Social Commitment
We take social responsibility seriously — by working with a workshop for people with disabilities in Gelsenkirchen and supporting local clubs and community initiatives. It’s a practical way to strengthen inclusion, create opportunities, and give back to the region we’re part of.

Focus on People
We take responsibility for our employees by creating a workplace built on respect, equality, and open, constructive communication. We work as one team across boundaries, look out for each other, and make safety and health non-negotiable.
