RECKLI is switching to waste cardboard instead of PU filling foam for packaging materials.
Switching to Sustainable Packaging

Replacing Polyurethane Filling Foam
We do not only attach importance to reusability for our formliners, but also for our product packaging of liquid plastics. Therefore, since March 2022, we have been using recycled cardboard instead of filling foam for packaging and shipping our products. The main reason for this is that it is easier for customers to dispose of the products, as the switch to cardboard inlays reduces the volume of the product to be disposed of many times over.
The filling material previously used was PU foam, which expands in a small bag. These bags were then included in the packaging to protect the products.
The new cardboard inlays are also made from 100% recycled waste paper, making them a sustainable alternative to conventional packaging materials. With the help of the custom-made cardboard inlays, we offer secure shipping and protect our products during transport. Currently, all 5 kg buckets and containers are shipped with the cardboard inlays - paper is also used as a filling material for all other products. The previously used foam pads are no longer used.

Sustainability & Responsibility
Sustainability is not a side project at RECKLI, it’s part of how we work. We develop and manufacture in-house, push certified solutions, and invest in measures that reduce our environmental footprint while keeping quality and performance uncompromised.
