Solar System for Our Herne Facility
The production of our formliners and chemical products is energy-intensive – especially during manufacturing and machining. As a manufacturing company, we are heavily dependent on the electricity market. Price fluctuations, supply uncertainties, and, above all, the drive for sustainable solutions have prompted us to explore new approaches. For this reason, we installed a large solar system on the roof of our Plant 2 facility.

A total of 430 solar panels with a capacity of 189 kWp have been mounted on the hall roof. The majority of the generated energy is used directly in our production processes – exactly where it is needed. Thanks to the smooth collaboration with Enpal, the installation was carried out without any issues, and the new solar system went into operation in spring 2025.

The installation was cleverly combined with a roof renovation to further boost the project's efficiency. Switching to self-generated power was a pragmatic step for us to operate more economically and reliably.
Renewable Energy in Our New Office Building
Our commitment to renewable energy is also evident in our new office building. During construction in 2023, we integrated a solar system on the roof. Even the parking lot in front of the administrative building keeps up with the times – charging stations for electric vehicles are available for our employees and customers.
This is how we ensure sustainable and forward-thinking energy supply not only in production but also in our everyday work environment.
