When Concrete Tells a Story
A façade can be more than structure – it can communicate. With RECKLI UNIQUE, architects use concrete as a narrative material: one that reflects a city’s heritage, a company’s philosophy, or the character of a place.
Imagine a cultural center whose façade echoes the rhythm of sound waves, an abstract reference to music and movement. Or a museum that carries fragments of historic photographs, softly engraved into the concrete surface, connecting past and present. A corporate headquarters might display the geometry of its logo in sculptural relief, making brand identity part of the architecture itself. Even the simplest pattern, inspired by leaves, textiles or water, can root a building in its natural surroundings and create emotion through form and texture.
With RECKLI UNIQUE, your façade becomes a storyteller. Its language is light and shadow, its expression changes with every step the viewer takes.

A Look Behind the Façade
Inspiration and process behind the façade of the Mandai Rainforest Resort in Singapore.

Trees that could not be conserved during the construction of Mandai Rainforest Resort were carefully salvaged and repurposed into master moulds. The wood was arranged in the desired configuration, bonded, and sealed to prepare it for mould production.

The model was treated with a release agent. RECKLI A60 was then cast to create the formliner. The elasticity of the material enabled the demoulding of the organic shape.

The concrete elements were then cast. The resulting surfaces reproduce a high level of detail, capturing individual wood fibres and the fine textures of the bark in concrete.

The result is a façade that carries a narrative of its place and surroundings. It draws from the textures, traces and characteristics found on site, translating them into concrete. In this way, the façade becomes part of its context.
