Sustainable Vision
The new JVAZCO headquarters in Manila combines clean lines, sustainable thinking, and refined material aesthetics to form an exceptional architectural concept. Designed by Jagnus Design Studio, the building reflects JVAZCO’s philosophy: precision, craftsmanship, and a deep appreciation for architectural quality.
Constructed from repurposed shipping containers, the building stands as a testament to responsible resource use and sophisticated design. The staggered arrangement of its volumes creates a dynamic composition of mass and lightness. Generous glass panels open the structure to its surroundings, while striking cantilevers and delicate lines emphasize the play of light and shadow. The result is architecture that feels both powerful and balanced.
A Distinctive Façade with Two Formliners
The formliner 1/40 Rib Type M, with its vertically running ribs and precise joints, gives the concrete surface depth and rhythm. Light moves across the surface, revealing a subtle relief that highlights the sculptural quality of the material. The 2/81 Plafond serves as its calm counterpart: a flawlessly smooth surface representing clarity and craftsmanship. Together, the two formliners create a harmonious balance between structure and stillness.
Inside, minimalist forms meet a warm and inviting atmosphere. Natural light, green zones, and a thoughtful combination of concrete, wood, glass, and metal bring lightness and serenity to the spaces. What began as an industrial container framework has evolved into a workspace that encourages both openness and focus.
Strong Partnership
As RECKLI’s distribution partner in the Philippines, JVAZCO showcases the creative potential of concrete as a design material. The headquarters serves not only as a workplace but also as a showroom and reference project. It demonstrates how JVAZCO’s own products and solutions come to life within an architectural context. Here, materials are not merely displayed—they are experienced as part of an authentic, functional, and aesthetically sophisticated whole.
The building has already received several awards, including the Best Low-Rise Award from the Philippine Constructors Association Inc. and the American Concrete Institute – Philippine Chapter.
