Residence Jardins des Camélias, Saint-Denis, La Réunion

In Saint-Denis on the island of La Réunion, the Résidence Jardins des Camélias was developed as a residential complex with 61 housing units in an attractive location. The site offers a pleasant living environment with views extending towards the Indian Ocean and is designed to support family living, including opportunities for children within the immediate residential surroundings. The buildings follow a clear and functional layout. Balconies, loggias and terraces are integral elements of the façades and structure the exterior appearance.

The façades consist of smooth and structured concrete surfaces. The structured areas are used selectively to subdivide larger concrete surfaces and to highlight the quality of the concrete finish. Exposed concrete is a key design element and defines the overall appearance of the buildings.

Through the use of formliners, the concrete achieves a defined and uniform surface. The structure supports a clean concrete appearance and enables precise execution of the façade surfaces. Depending on the incidence of light, the structures remain clearly visible without appearing dominant.

For the concrete façades, our formliner 1/245 Nevada was used. The vertically oriented structure gives the concrete surfaces a clear articulation and a consistent surface appearance. The formliner allows for a reproducible execution of exposed concrete surfaces and ensures a durable, high-quality concrete finish.

The 1/245 Nevada structure was used in particular on larger façade areas and contributes to an orderly visual appearance of the concrete surfaces while supporting technically precise execution.
