The Right Use of Release Agents
The correct selection and, above all, the proper application of release agents are essential to achieving outstanding concrete surfaces. In practice, application errors occur frequently and can negatively affect the final result. This guide shows how to use release agents correctly to ensure the best possible outcome.
RECKLI Release is an aqueous, ready-to-use concrete release agent based on non-hazardous vegetable oil for residue-free demoulding when using RECKLI formliners. It is also suitable for use on formwork and moulds, as
well as other non-absorbing substrates such as sealed wood, steel, or plastic-coated formwork. It can be used both in horizontal and vertical applications.

① Clean the formwork

② Maximum filling level of the spray device: 75%

③ Recommended pressure: 4 bar

④ Select the correct nozzle for the application

⑤ The optimum spraying distance is 40 cm

⑥ Apply RECKLI RELEASE evenly in overlapping passes

⑦ A thin and uniform coat is key to achieving a good release result

⑧ Avoid overdosing, puddles, and runs

⑨ Do not apply the release agent unevenly
Highest Quality Release Agents
Our release agents are designed to deliver outstanding concrete surface quality and consistent, reliable results. Carefully selected formulations ensure clean demoulding while protecting formwork and formliners. Developed and manufactured in Germany, our release agents meet the highest environmental standards and combine performance, efficiency, and responsible use in modern concrete production.
The images below show a comparison between RECKLI release agents and conventional release agents, demonstrating how the use of RECKLI products enables the highest concrete surface quality and consistently clean demoulding.
