Surface Retarder
By washing the concrete surface, the cement paste is rinsed off and the aggregate is exposed. This creates a distinctive visual effect and can also improve slip resistance. Washed concrete surfaces can be produced using surface retarding agents (deactivators) or acid-based treatments.
