Kasztelanska 22, Kraków, Poland

Just outside of Kraków, in the immediate vicinity of the historic St. Bronislawa Hill and a few minutes’ walk from Błonia Park, is the Kasztelańska 22 project: 28 luxury flats ranging in size from 28.65 m2 to 112.25 m2. The residential complex – designed by the architectural office ABP Autorskie Biuro Projektowe s.c. Tadeusz Półchłopek Bernadetta Półchłopek-Szczygieł and carried out by URBA Group – is an answer to the demands of urban living space.

Central location with lots of nature

The project brings together two aspects of urban life that are often difficult to reconcile: The most important spots in Kraków are within walking distance while the surrounding parks and the Rudawa stream, which flows into the Vistula not far away, offer residents nature right on their doorstep. The flats’ special furnishings also match this special location.

Ribs for the facade: RECKLI 2/29 Fulda

The fact that a great deal of attention was paid to detail is already evident on the facade: The concrete – impregnated with a thin layer of concrete paint – is decorated with original, vertical corrugation from the RECKLI SELECT series on the lower two floors. 28 of our handcrafted structural matrices with the 2/29 Fulda design were used here. These 3 mx 1 m matrices underline the luxurious character of the residential complex on a total of 84 m2. The concrete elements of the facade – class 4 fair-faced concrete – were manufactured in Mabudo’s precast plant using Mabudo Robust® technology.

Modern design outside and inside

The high standards continue inside: The floors are made of large-format, sand-coloured earthenware tiles, and the walls are covered with wallpaper with a vertical, spatial pattern. The metal elements in the interiors and on the balconies are finished in a noble gold colour. Uniform typography for all flat numbers and labels completes the minimal and elegant aesthetic. Close to nature and close to the city, the complex has everything residents could want.
