New space for thousands of workplaces
workplaces
With “Montagne du Parc”, BNP Paribas Fortis consolidates its administrative functions in the center of Brussels, creating space for around 4,500 workplaces. Completed in 2021, the new building was designed by Baumschlager Eberle Architekten in collaboration with Jaspers Eyers Architects and Styfhals & Partners.
The building comprises approximately 100,000 m² and extends over five basement levels and seven upper floors. Three inner courtyards open the structure to the city: podium areas on the ground floor as well as the central courtyard are accessible to the public. Generous window surfaces further strengthen the connection between interior and exterior while providing ample daylight to the office spaces.
Fibrobeton x RECKLI: Rhythm in Concrete
The architectural expression is defined by a multi-layered façade concept: in front of the inner glass façade lies a self-supporting grid of prefabricated concrete elements. The façade cladding with GFRC elements (glass fiber reinforced concrete) adds targeted accents: fine vertical grooves give the façade a lively, dynamic appearance. The partially curved panels were produced and installed by Fibrobeton using the FİBROCEPHE®/FİBROPANEL® systems.
The surface texture of the panels was created using custom RECKLI UNIQUE formliners. In total, 188 m² of formliners were used to imprint around 4,000 m² of concrete surface, allowing the ribbed texture to be reproduced consistently in series.

A holistic façade solution
Functional requirements such as insulation and watertightness were also systematically addressed: the insulation is integrated into the panels via specially designed components, and installation was carried out once the system’s watertightness had been ensured. In line with the design intent, the cladding remains in its natural color, reinforcing a restrained, material-driven expression.
The project demonstrates how close collaboration can lead to expressive façade solutions: Fibrobeton realized the complex façade elements, while RECKLI provided the design basis with custom formliners. The result is a building with a distinctive external identity that at the same time accommodates the daily working environment of around 4,500 people.
