8. Use of Cookies

When you visit individual pages, we use 'cookies'. A cookie is a text file that is sent and saved to a user's hard drive when visiting a website. This allows us to collect automatically selected information such as IP address, browser type and operating system details. This data allows us to display our website correctly and make navigation easier. The data we collect is not transferred to third parties or combined with other data.

If you would like to prevent the transfer of cookies, you can do so by changing your browser settings - this is the program you use to view websites (such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome etc). You can remove cookies immediately by deleting your entire browser history and cookies after use. You can find out more about how all this works in the 'Help' section of your browser.

9. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. ('Google'). Google Analytics uses 'cookies', text files that are saved to your computer and allow an analysis of website use. The information collected by the cookie about your use of the website is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and saved there. If this website has activated IP anonymization, your IP address will be shortened by Google before leaving the European Union or the European Economic Area. In exceptional cases, your full IP address may be transferred to a Google server in the USA before being shortened. On behalf of the website operator, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to create reports about website activity and to carry out other services relating to website/internet use for the website operator. The IP address transferred from your browser as part of these Google Analytics actions will not be combined with any other Google data. You can prevent cookies from being saved to your browser by changing your browser settings; we must inform you that you may not be able to use all of our website's features if you do so. You can also prevent data collected by the cookie about your website use (including your IP address) from being processed by Google by downloading and installing the plug-in available here:

Link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

Additionally or alternatively to the browser add-on above, you can prevent Google Analytics from tracking you on our website by clicking on this link. This will install an opt-out cookie on your device. This will prevent Google Analytics from collecting information about this website and this browser for as long as the cookie remains installed on your browser.

10. Google reCAPTCHA

In some cases, we use the reCAPTCHA service provided by Google Inc for the submission of forms. This service includes the transfer of your IP address and other information required by Google for the reCAPTCHA service to Google. This data is subject to Google’s own data protection policy. You can find more information about the data protection policy that applies to Google reCaptcha here: www.google.de/intl/de/privacy

11. Social Media

Of course, we want to give you the chance to easily share and comment on our products on social media. As official social media share buttons tend to fall short when it comes to data protection, we've come up with another solution.

Instead of social plug-ins, where we would have no influence over the scope of data collected by providers about you, we use social share links instead. So, if you would like to connect to the provider from our website, simply click on the symbol and the link will automatically take you to the network you selected.Information will only be collected and transferred to the provider via cookies at this point.

We ourselves do not collect any personal data using social plug-ins.We do not have any influence on the scope of data collected by the provider, nor how this is used. It must be presumed that a direct link is created to the provider's services, and that at least your IP address and device information is collected and used.

To find out exactly what data is collected and how it is used, please see the relevant provider's data protection policy. Please note: if you are logged into Facebook, Facebook will be able to identify you as a visiter to a specific page.

Our website includes social media buttons for the following companies:

Facebook Inc. (1601 S. California Ave - Palo Alto - CA 94304 - USA)
Twitter Inc. (795 Folsom St. - Suite 600 - San Francisco - CA 94107 - USA)
XING AG (Gänsemarkt 43 - 20354 Hamburg - Germany)
