Concrete Surface Shaping

Understanding Formliners

Formliners act as flexible moulds that give concrete its final texture. Here you’ll learn how the system works and why it enables such a wide range of architectural surfaces.

Working with Formliners

A straightforward process: Formliners are fixed inside the formwork, concrete is cast, and after demoulding the design emerges clean and precise. Below, we guide you through the process to show how simple it can be.

The principle is the same for precast concrete and in-situ concrete.

â‘  Manufacturing at RECKLI

Your selected or custom design is transformed into a high-quality elastomer formliner, produced with precision and built to withstand multiple casting cycles.

② Installation in the Formwork

The formliner is securely fixed into the formwork. Its texture or pattern becomes the negative mould that shapes the concrete surface.

③ Demoulding of the Element

Once the concrete has cured, the formwork is removed. During demoulding, the concrete element reveals its finished textured surface, perfectly capturing the pattern and depth of the formliner.

④ Reuse of the Formliner

Their flexibility allows for easy removal and reuse up to 100 times, guaranteeing excellent results and cost-efficient application.

The Result

A concrete surface that carries your design into the built world — alive with texture, defined by light, and unmistakably your own.

Making your creative vision a reality is one message away!
