Formliners guarantee excellent results and economical application. An overview of the factors that impact prices and example calculations.

Type of surface design

The deeper the chosen texture, the thicker the finished textured formliner. This increased material consumption impacts the price. A flat wooden or plaster texture with a structural depth of just a few millimeters is cheaper than a ribbed or waved texture with a depth of several centimeters.

Component dimensions

Our elastic textured formliners are designed for re-use. Liners for 100 re-uses are standard for formliners. Due to production technology, we deliver formliners with lower repeat use figures (10, 50 times) in smaller dimensions. They are measured so that they can be used in increments to create surfaces of any length and width. The more components that are the same or similar in terms of dimensions, the higher the stock turn rate in production. The more often the formliner is poured, the lower the unit price per square meter of surface design.

Actual Costs

Even when planning conditions are optimal, the actual costs are primarily in the hands of the production companies. They decide the production process, the order and, therefore, the related costs. Their decisions impact the actual costs in the quote.

A project’s individual factors impact the actual costs of using a formliner. Below, you’ll find two price examples for the RECKLI SELECT and RECKLI UNIQUE series. Additional model construction costs apply to formliners in the UNIQUE series.

In-situ

Production of a supporting wall with a flat texture using an in-situ process. The measurements are 200m long and 2.50m high.

The company calculates 20m-long formwork and 10 formwork cycles.

Formliner requirement:
20 running m × 2.50 m = 50m² × 150 €/m² = 7,500 €
Concrete area:
200m × 2.50m = 500m²
Unit price:
7,500€ / 500m² = 15.00 € /m²

Precast plant

Production of a supporting wall with a flat texture using an in-situ process. The measurements are 200m long and 2.50m high.

The company begins production early and calculates a total of 50 production days for the project, with a lead time of 10 weeks. Simultaneous production on 2 tables is sufficient.

Formliner requirement:
3m x 4m = 12m² × 2 tables = 24m² × 150 €/m² = 3,600 €
Concrete area:
3m × 4m = 12m² × 100 parts = 1,200m²
Unit price:
3,600€ / 1,200m² = 3.00 €/m²
