Judges panel honors RECKLI’s magazine FORMLINER and RECKLI’s main catalog PATTERNBOOK as excellent products in the field of corporate communications.
The RECKLI magazine FORMLINER and the PATTERNBOOK have each been issued an ICONIC AWARD by the German Design Council. The international architecture and design competition awards prizes in five main categories to visionary buildings, products and communications from all areas in architecture, construction and real estate as well as the manufacturing industry. The judges panel distinguished both FORMLINER and the PATTERNBOOK as exceptional products in the “Communication” category.
The panel comprises experts from the fields of architecture, interior design, design and brand communication. The judges distinguished products with a consistent and all-encompassing presentation. “We are very happy about the recognition by the top-class judges and are especially proud of the distinction considering the notable and very strong competition”, says Lutz Hammer, Head of Marketing at RECKLI.
FORMLINER is RECKLI’s company magazine and is aimed at architects and planners. The magazine shines a light on buildings, processes and individuals from the world of architectural concrete in case studies that are practically relevant. The current issue looks at one of Europe’s best concert halls, topically examines the trends in digital construction and urban development questions in Berlin, informs on news regarding building with concrete and commemorates architecture pioneers. The first edition was published in January 2015 and received the silver Architect’s Darling Award. The following 2016 edition was distinguished with the gold Architect’s Darling Award.
The PATTERNBOOK is RECKLI’s main catalog. It appears in five languages and bundles information on all eight product categories. User-friendly elements such as the quick-finder and a mixture of white and green paper inside the book make navigation easier. The cover features the blind embossing print of a new RECKLI pattern that is designed by a different artist for each issue. The communications agency ONEWORX is responsible for the design and implementation of the FORMLINER magazine and PATTERNBOOK.
The prize ceremony of the Iconic Awards will take place in the course of the Expo Real trade fair in Munich on October 4th, 2017. With this award, the Design Council aims at strengthening interdisciplinary dialogue and simultaneously deepening the public’s understanding of architecture. The German Council of Design was established in 1953 based on an initiative by the German Bundestag in order to promote the German industry’s design competence.
